Randall Bearings Inc. of Lima has purchased a $40,000 robotic arm that can grasp parts and maneuver them through the company’s 17-step manufacturing process. Firm officials say the result is a significant reduction in the risk to employees. The company, with roots dating back to 1906, manufactures precision machined products, primarily bronze material. The components are used by industries including oil and gas, construction, mining, and transportation.
