An electrical engineer by training and a professional engineer since 1995, Kevin Shoemaker, PE, established BasicSoft in 2004 and in 2007 developed a software product called BasicSafe, which was designed to help EHS managers. He sold the BasicSafe brand in 2020 to Simplify Compliance, where he now works as senior EHS product manager.
