Allison Short, CSP, CIT, is a safety and health specialist at Auburn University, and manages respiratory protection, machine shop, and additive manufacturing programs. She has experience in fleet safety and electrical safety, after beginning her career at PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary. She is an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer, and she believes respect and education are imperative components of workplace safety. Short is pursuing a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Auburn University and holds several volunteer leadership roles with the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), including Women in Safety Excellence (WISE) Chair for the Alabama ASSP Chapter and ChapterWISE Co-Chair for the ASSP WISE Advisory Committee.
