An electrical engineer by training and a professional engineer since 1995, Kevin Shoemaker, PE, established BasicSoft in 2004 and in 2007 developed a software product called BasicSafe, which was designed to help EHS managers. He sold the BasicSafe brand in 2020 to Simplify Compliance, where he now works as EHS solution engineer for EHS Hero.
