The state’s Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) recently posted data for 2014 showing a rate of 3.8 nonfatal recordable injuries per 100 full-time workers, which continues a 12-year downward trend. The rate in 2013 was 4.0. The rates of cases with lost work time (days away from work, job transfer, or job restriction) and cases requiring days away from work were also consistent with the downward trend, at 2.2 and 1.2 cases per 100 full-time workers, respectively.
