OSHA, NIOSH Issue Guidance to Protect Workers from Zika

You’ve heard about the Zika virus and its potential impact on certain populations. Keep reading for important new information on protection for workers who may be exposed on the job.

OSHA and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) are monitoring the Zika virus outbreak spreading through Central and South America, Mexico, and parts of the Caribbean. Workers exposed to mosquitoes or the blood or bodily fluids of infected people may be at risk for occupationally acquired Zika infection.
