If you missed this year’s Keene State College construction safety boot camp in June, mark your calendar for a repeat of the popular program in 2017. Learn more about this unusual approach that just might work for your employees.
Last month, 64 safety professionals interested in learning their safety skills and knowledge joined 20 college students majoring in safety and health for a seven-day construction safety boot camp at Keene State, which is also the site of an OSHA Training Institute Education Center.
The intensive program focused on the four primary causes of death on construction sites—falls, electrocutions, impact from objects, and being caught in or between objects. It’s estimated that eliminating the so-called Fatal Four would save the lives of 508 workers every year.
