  1. Training and Hazard Recognition are key. However without the company/employer’s true dedication to Safety, your programs are just something an employee has to complete to get a check, there isn’t a Safety Culture Developed.
    We have to comprehend that all new hires are bombarded with safety rules and regulations for every new Job and every new job site. Most of the training is hand outs or web based. Employees go through the motions to get these task completed ASAP just to get it over with.
    On the other hand Companies that put a in house Safety Professional in front of employees new or old, your Professional displays and sets your in house standards and company culture. Your Professional should be positioned as a Mentor and Resource. Showing and Proving that your company places Safety first above all. Don’t depend on hand outs or computer based training develop your Culture.
