Following the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, that happened in early February, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been providing updates on how it is conducting air monitoring. Air pollution harms people’s health and the environment, and under the Clean Air Act, the EPA continues to work with state, local, and tribal governments, other federal agencies, and stakeholders to reduce air pollution and the damage that it causes.
