An initiative that helps support appropriate work for those who have sustained workplace injuries has reached two important milestones. Keep reading to find out why the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) is celebrating.
L&I’s Stay at Work Program has helped more than 20,000 injured workers and provided more than $50 million to reimburse businesses that participate. The program pays employers for part of the costs associated with offering light-duty jobs to injured workers. And it helps defray expenses so businesses can allow eligible employees to keep working as they recover and stay connected to work.
